The Story
Building successful partnerships
After 10 years with DNV, Yuko started as a Partner Success Manager in Veracity. Her role focuses on helping partners succeed so Veracity can deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for customers.
"Partnerships are central to what we do. The maritime industry is becoming more digital and interconnected, and success depends on strong collaboration between customers, partners and the wider industry."
Having worked across different roles and parts of DNV during her career, Yuko was encouraged by colleagues to apply for the opportunity at Veracity. Today, she enjoys working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, helping create seamless services and data-driven solutions for customers.
Innovation with purpose
Innovation has been a common thread throughout Yuko's career, and it remains one of the things she values most about working at Veracity.
"Innovation is part of Veracity's DNA, but always with a purpose. We focus on solving real customer challenges and building solutions that create value."
She is currently involved in developing an AI-driven partner intelligence dashboard that brings data from multiple sources into a single view. The goal is to help teams better understand partner performance, identify where support is needed and make it easier to deliver the best possible experience for customers and partners.
For Yuko, one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is working at the intersection of technology, business and customer needs.
Being valued and heard
For Yuko, the culture at Veracity is equally important as the technology.
With teammates based across Norway, the UK, Germany and Singapore, communication and knowledge sharing are essential. Regular team meetings and open discussions ensure that everyone can contribute and be heard, while close collaboration with customers and partners helps the team stay connected to developments across the industry.
"Working with different stakeholders gives me valuable insight into the market. It helps us stay relevant, keep learning and continue delivering value to our customers and partners."
Life beyond work
Outside work, Yuko enjoys spending time with her young child, kayaking during the summer months and playing in the DNV house band.
"The social opportunities at DNV have become an important part of my wellbeing. Whether it is sports clubs, music or spending time with colleagues, there is a strong understanding that work is only one part of life."
A fun fact many colleagues may not know is that Yuko once performed on Norske Talenter, Norway's version of the Got Talent TV format, with the DNV band. She also laughs when remembering her first interview with DNV Japan 10 years ago.
"At the time, I didn't speak English, and I could barely understand my interviewer. Luckily, I still got the job."
Growing through new opportunities
From joining DNV in Japan without speaking English to building an international career across different roles and business areas, Yuko's journey has been shaped by curiosity, learning and new opportunities.
Today, she sees Veracity as a place where she can continue to grow while contributing to meaningful work for customers, partners and the wider maritime industry.
"I feel fortunate to be part of an environment where people are trusted, valued and encouraged to grow. Every day brings an opportunity to learn something new and help solve challenges that matter."
