Our values

Our values shape our performance and define what we expect of one another. They’re integral for how we are building a truly inclusive culture where you can enjoy a sense of belonging, regardless of background. We know there is still work to do, but we will be bold in tackling challenges and keeping care at the centre of our approach.

We care

for each other, our customers, our planet and we take care of ourselves.

We dare

to explore, to experiment, to be different, and to be courageous, curious and creative.

We share

our experience and knowledge. We collaborate with each other and our customers and we continue to grow and develop as a result.

Our global ambition

We know that building an inclusive culture is an ongoing journey and we have put specific ambitions in place. But more importantly, we have a series of commitments to achieve these ambitions which you can read here.

We’re embedding diversity, equity and inclusion into everything we do, every day, through our global ambitions:

Foster an inclusive culture where employees can grow, feel valued and have a sense of belonging.

Embrace diverse identities, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Work to ensure that equity is embedded in our policies, processes and practices, and strive to provide fair access to continuous growth and development for all employees.

Ethical framework and compliance policy

At DNV, strengths and capabilities are not defined by appearance or origin, but character and potential. We are stronger because of our diversity, not in spite of it.

Code of Conduct

We’re a business built on trust and if you join us, you’ll be a part of fostering that. Our Code of Conduct defines what we can expect of each other so that we’re always operating ethically and treating each other the way we expect to be treated. View our full Code of Conduct.

Supplier Code of Conduct

We don’t operate in isolation. The suppliers we use are a major part of our business and therefore an important part of our impact. That’s why we have a Supplier Code of Conduct stating our expectations in areas of human rights and labour standards, anti-corruption, and environmental performance. View our full Supplier Code of Conduct.

Our statement

See our statement on Modern Slavery in accordance to the United Kingdom’s Modern Slavery Act 2015.

DNV’s Human Rights Report 2023

Every year we publish our Due Diligence Disclosure. It describes our approach to managing human rights risks in our operations and supply chain.

Diversity and inclusion is a source of strength for DNV. It provides the widest access to global talent and is the best basis for delivering excellence to our customers. Managed well, diverse and inclusive teams can also identify and capture more opportunities and manage more risks than homogenous teams. For DNV, not being committed to diversity and inclusion would be both ethically wrong and a grievous business error.
