Taking a shift in the career with support from the manager

So, I started as a secretary to the Country Chair and got to know of this new role in HR. And I wanted to join HR, but I was a bit hesitant, because I didn’t know anything about HR. So, I did speak about this to my Country Chair, my manager, and he really took it in a good way. And he supported me, and he was the one who built my confidence saying that Regina, you should try if you’re interested in HR. And he said that he could see the competence in me. And I did apply for the role, and I got the role. I can say that I was a bit hesitant, because the manager who I was going to report to, I know she was very high standard and attention to details and in the start, I was too nervous. But she also pulled me through and today I feel, I can see her traits in me.
