Marcin - Head of Section CMC Gdynia & Baltics

My name is Marcin and I am head of CMC section for Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. I'm leading the team of surveyors who are responsible for certification of materials and components. Mostly I like in the DNV the people. In general we are talking to each other and as a leader I also try to create an atmosphere of openness that I know that all of us are following the same principle, which is very important, especially for our business. What is very important for me as a leader is to create an environment that my team can easily collaborate with each other. Because the most value of the DNV is the knowledge. And in my opinion, we need to share the knowledge. Things of the DNV, I think that I am proud of my team. I'm really happy to see how they are working, how they are talking to each other, how they are collaborating, especially that my team is located in four different countries.  The DNV gives us a lot of opportunities to develop and to gain the experience, not only by the internal courses, but we also have a great opportunity to use the external providers for all of the learning patches which we need to have to be as best as we can in our current position. When I became a leader, I get a great support from the management team. I'm in the position also as a mentor for our youngest lady. This is a part of her training to spoke with the more experienced surveyors to build day and gain their competence. I think that our work as a matter. It will have a huge impact for the people, but also safety for the environmental and also for the property of the owner.
