Christian - Senior Cyber Security Consultant

My name is Christian Vassbotn. I'm working as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant and a Penetration Tester in DNV Singapore. I've been working here for just over three years. Worked the first year in Høvik in Norway. And then after one year I moved to Singapore. So working as a hacker, or a penetration tester, essentially you are being paid to try to break into someone's company digitally and find their security flaws. And that's very exciting, I think. Being in the maritime industry, we have to go onboard rigs, we have to go on board ships, and we have to actually be at the physical site. DNV has a very big reach. We are in so many countries and places in the world. So especially if you're in the maritime industry, DNV is very recognized. Coming from DNV and going with that logo on you, it shows people that you are from a company with a very good reputation and someone who really makes a difference. So yeah, I think it's a mark of pride. At DNV, I'm at the heart of it because I think we are actually making a difference. We are letting our customers know what kind of vulnerabilities are in their networks. And I think that aligns very much with our values and our vision. I think we are a well-known brand globally, especially within the maritime, but also in other sectors. So wearing the company logo, DNV, is something that makes me proud.
