We are looking for a communication expert to act as an advisor for Maritime’s internal stakeholders, and spearhead unique communication initiatives to strengthen employee engagement.

As an Internal Communications Expert in DNV Maritime, you will play a crucial role in managing and orchestrating global internal communications activities to help DNV achieve its business goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing communication campaigns that enhance people engagement and company culture, support change management, and ensure consistent messaging and alignment across the organization.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our organization and working closely with key stakeholders across departments and regions, making this a highly collaborative and cross-functional role. Candidates should be based in either Oslo or Hamburg and will report to the Head of Internal Communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging content and foster employee engagement through our Maritime internal communication channels, such as the intranet, internal social media platforms, videos, and virtual and in-person events
  • Serve as strategic advisor to senior leaders on effective internal communication strategies
  • Collaborate across the business area to develop and execute strategic communication plans and campaigns to align employees with business goals
  • Work closely with the global communications and marketing organization to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all internal and external channels
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in internal communications, content creation, and event management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

Work location: Our candidates can either be based out of our office in Hamburg, Germany, or at our head office at Høvik, Norway.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in internal communications or a related field of at least five years
  • High level of organizational awareness; experience consulting and closely collaborating with C-suite stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across a diverse and international team
  • Innovative thinker and clear communicator with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Proven ability in content creation with exceptional writing and editing skills and a talent for story telling
  • Experience in internal communications strategy development and fostering an engaging organizational culture
  • Knowledge of communication tools and platforms used for internal communication and engagement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the Maritime industry or technical assurance would be advantageous
  • Excellent fluency in English is required
