Technical Support in DNV Maritime is a global organisation consisting of 11 units responsible for different disciplines/specialities, located in Høvik, Hamburg, Singapore, Piraeus, and Houston. Technical Support is overall responsible for support to customers and DNV surveyors world-wide through our DATE portal (Direct Access to Technical Experts) and remote surveys.
Our Statutory Support section at Høvik is part of Technical Support and provides support to ships and ship operators regarding fire safety, lifesaving, radio communication, navigation and load line. We communicate with flag states, implement relevant IMO and Flag requirements to our fleet and are responsible for the content of DNV’s instructions within the mentioned disciplines. We are working with various ship types such as cargo ships, passenger ships, high-speed crafts and naval vessels.
We are now recruiting for an expert to join our unit. The successful candidate will become part of a highly qualified, collaborative and motivated team with in-depth competence.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Day to day support in all matters related to lifesaving, fire safety and load line. Support in navigation and radio communications matters could also be relevant depending on the candidate’s background/ experience.
- Communicate with Flag Administrations in statutory matters.
- Follow developments in IMO and other international regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain service documents used by our maritime organisation.
