About the role

We are seeking a candidate, who is in the early and entry stage of their career, open to learning about marine CO2 reporting regulations, verifier’s role and digital methods of verifying CO2 emissions. 

In this role, you will have a direct impact on reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a greener future, participating in significant projects.

You will manage and check that the data reported by our clients meets the quality standards, communicating with them on feedback, working with the internal production system and verification tools.

As a Verifier, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Verify data quality from external clients’ documents (monitoring plans, emission reports and fuel oil consumption reports),
  • Review technical documentation for different types of vessels,
  • Monitor and verify vessel activity,
  • Work closely with international technical departments across DNV’s global approval network,
  • Work with international regulations,
  • Collaborate with ship owners worldwide,
  • Contribute to the development of digital verification tools.

About you

To maximize your chances, you need: 

  • Engineering student or Engineering Bachelor's/Master's degree in the following or similar field of study: naval architecture, mechanical engineering, nautical, environmental technologies, or data analytics available for full-time work,
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (both written and verbal). English is our official communication language,
  • Attention to detail and solution-orientated approach to deliver accurate and fast solutions to our customers.

Nice to have: 

  • Greenhouse Gases and MARPOL Annex VI knowledge,
  • Understanding of ship hydrodynamics,
  • Power plant knowledge,
  • Ship or ship systems knowledge both operational and technical,
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools. We provide extensive training as well if you need.
