Join Our Group Sustainability Team at DNV

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a positive impact? DNV is recruiting for our Group Sustainability Development and Climate team, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us. The team is responsible for DNV's climate goals, emissions reductions targets and sustainability reporting. Depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidates, we are recruiting for roles that may include Sustainability Reporting Manager and ESG Analyst.

About the Role of the Sustainability Reporting Manager: As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating DNV's sustainability report, ensuring compliance with EU reporting guidelines, managing the audit process, and collecting ESG data and designing reporting processes. You will work closely with various departments, including Group People, Communications, Compliance, Finance, and our Global Shared Service organization.

Key responsibilities Sustainability Reporting Manager could include

  • Coordinate the Group’s external and internal sustainability reporting to ensure alignment with best practices and our sustainability strategy.
  • Develop, drive and coordinate reporting processes to streamline ESG reporting.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments, regulations, and standards in the ESG space, particularly the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to document the financial impact of ESG.
  • Project manage DNV’s annual year-end sustainability disclosures, including the annual sustainability summary, contributions to the Annual Report, case studies, and reporting on DNV’s Sustainability goals.

About the role of the ESG Analyst: you will improve processes for emissions data collection and analysis, helping to ensure that we are on track to reach our goals and work on sustainability project. You will work closely with procurement and our wider Global Shared Service organization. You will work on implementing ESG software and improve processes to make us more efficient. You will have a good working understanding of the GHG Protocol.

Key responsibilities ESG Analyst could include

  • Monitor performance against sustainability KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage implementation of ESG software.
  • Collect reporting data using ESG software.
  • Develop and manage a dashboard for monitoring targets aligned with Science-based targets.
  • Develop supplier engagement initiatives.
  • Manage auditing responsibilities for Environment and Climate (ISO14001).
  • Respond to supplier assessments requests and other ESG-related questions from stakeholders.
  • Support the external verification of environment data: creating reports and gathering underlying documentation for third party verification.
  • Contribute to submissions to Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Science-based targets initiative.
  • Project manage a corporate climate risk assessment.

About you

Minimum requirements for both roles:

  • A university degree (BA or Master) in a relevant field such as Science, Sustainability, Legal, or Economics.
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience.
  • Relevant university courses and/or practical experience in ESG reporting.
  • Experience with digital ESG platforms is a plus.
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively across geographies and adapt to different cultures.
  • Teamm attitude and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent or in English, both written and oral.
The working language for both roles is English, and this position is preferably based in Høvik, Norway. Please provide a cover letter and CV in English.
