About the role

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for a wide range of accounting operations, tax filings, and audit coordination. You will use business-level English to communicate with overseas offices. You will also be involved in business improvement projects such as DX initiatives and shared service optimization.

In addition, the candidate is expected to take a strategic role with a broad perspective in supporting GSS Finance’s compliance and quality goals, and to work closely with the business to achieve the mission of GSS.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and record journal entries, manage general ledger, and calculate departmental allocations
  2. Manage accounts receivable/payable transactions with group companies
  3. Respond to inquiries from business units regarding consumption tax and booking records
  4. Handle monthly and annual closing procedures, and prepare corporate and consumption tax returns
  5. Manage tax payments, statutory reports, and treaty-based withholding tax filings
  6. Coordinate with the HR department to verify payroll and social insurance data
  7. Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors, and tax authorities
  8. Coordinate with external legal counsel regarding corporate registration matters
  9. Support system implementations and compliance with tax law revisions
  10. Participate in meetings and training sessions (online/offline) with Global Process Owner and Asia offices

- 仕訳入力、総勘定元帳管理、部門間配賦計算

- グループ会社間の売掛・買掛管理

- 消費税や計上実績に関する事業部からの問い合わせ対応

- 月次・年次決算業務、法人税・消費税申告書作成準備

- 各種税金納付、法定調書作成、租税条約による源泉所得税申告

- 人事部との給与・社会保険データ確認

- 監査法人対応、内部監査対応、税務調査対応

- 顧問弁護士との登記関係の調整

- システム導入や税制改正への対応

- Global Process Owner(グローバル業務プロセス責任者)やアジア拠点とのミーティング、トレーニング(オンライン・オフライン)

About you

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field), or equivalent practical experience
  2. Minimum 7 years of accounting experience (including closing and tax filing)
  3. Knowledge of Japanese corporate tax, consumption tax, and withholding tax
  4. Business-level English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing), approximately equivalent to TOEIC 850
  5. Strong IT literacy and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  6. Experience in process improvement or system implementation is a plus
