About the role

GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV company, is at the heart of the global energy transformation. We use data-driven digital solutions to optimize the performance of renewable energy installations around the world. Our work contributes to a more diverse and a more sustainable global energy mix.

As a Senior Sales Business Developer, you will lead the charge in identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities for GreenPowerMonitor’s cloud-based SaaS solutions. Focused on the renewable energy sector, you'll be responsible for promoting a cutting-edge portfolio designed to monitor and manage energy assets at scale. Your expertise in cloud SaaS will be essential in understanding customer needs, positioning our solutions effectively, and building lasting relationships that drive long-term revenue growth. This is a strategic role for a driven professional passionate about technology, innovation, and the green energy transition.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute strategies for managing the sales pipeline, lead generation, contract negotiations, and order intake.
  • Identify potential customers, establish new partnerships, clearly explain technical features, and value prepositions of GPM solutions, including advanced analytics in detail.
  • Build and nurture trusted business relationships with both current and new customers to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Translate customer's technical specifications into comprehensive techno-commercial proposals that align with their operational and financial requirements.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with our customers and internal stakeholders to successfully execute projects and deliver on commitments.
  • Represent GPM at key industry events such as exhibitions, conferences, and trade missions focused on solar, wind, and storage within the region.
  • Provide insights and support to HQ's team regarding market dynamics, customer demands, and regional specifics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Reporting directly to the Regional Director Iberia & LATAM, you will collaborate closely to define and implement effective business strategies, market development plans, and annual sales targets aimed at achieving and surpassing commercial goals.

About you

To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in a business-related or technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial/sales-oriented role within the SaaS and/or renewable energy industry
  • Proven track record driving full sales lifecycle with excellent hunter mentality and the ability to proactively generate leads, develop opportunities, and close high-value deals
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging both technical stakeholders and executive decision-makers
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong professional network
  • Excellent pitching skills to effectively present and communicate the value proposition of GPM solutions to customers and at public conferences
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to work in fast- paced and customer-centric environment while delivering high-quality work
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish. Portuguese it is a strong nice to have.

Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for clean energy and sustainability.

As a team player, you are open to collaborating and supporting regional colleagues. Additionally, your confidence shines as you persuasively articulate and present ideas in customer meetings and to senior management.
