Local Unit & Position Description

South-East Asia (SEA) department is part of Region Asia Pacific (APAC) operations and holds an important and strategic position for us in the marketplace, both locally and globally. Our ambition is to become a leading competence centre and prime technical advisor in Asia Pacific. We are one of the most diverse departments in terms of services (Verification and Certification, Risk Advisory, Technical Advisory including lab services), segments (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Renewables) and assets (Pipelines, Subsea, Fixed Offshore Structures, Topside of Floaters, Petrochemical & Refineries, etc.).

We are having a team of close 100 permanent employees and a large pool of subcontractors – organized in 5 sections located in various countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan) – serving customers from the entire region and beyond. We work in synergy to solve different technical challenges and we are the innovation powerhouse for the region, with several new and on-going Joint Industry Projects being run in parallel each year.

We hold a diverse portfolio of customers in Singapore and other countries in the region, delivering services on verification, certification and advisory within the onshore and offshore oil, gas and process industries.

What we offer

Intern Responsibilities:

You will be provided training and able to learn the following skills through on the job training.

  • Drive and Assist in Digital Ideas for developing web application and appealing dashboards with latest technology to improve the unit’s efficiency in work performance.
  • Ability to interpret the IT/OT space for cybersecurity related threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Making complex data sets and insights accessible, consumable, understandable and useable
  • Implementing systems that enable the delivery of insights to business units and customers
  • Take up Challenges and innovate new business streams within the section
  • Participate in projects and proposals involving multi disciplines such as structures, process safety, electrical and instrumentation and automation-related, mechanical and piping, hydrodynamics etc.
  • Assist PM/Engineers in preparing Proposal and Project Final Report
  • Helping the teams to develop visual dashboards using data.
  • Ability to understand data in whatever format it’s presented and effectively use it to communicate a story and drive action.
  • Participate in projects and proposals involving multi-disciplines offshore projects.
  • Support in developing digital innovative (web or mobile app development) ideas

  • Depending on the team and internship you are interested in, but typically our team members have backgrounds in Electrical / Control Engineering, Computer Science or Cyber Security. We will however consider applicants from a broad array of areas
