About the role

Energy Storage Independent Engineering Project Manager

Our world is changing its energy mix. How would you like to be part of it?

The energy storage market is growing rapidly. As the global leader in independent assurance and risk assessment, DNV is enabling the financial investments necessary to support the energy transition. At DNV we are committed to providing the best data, advice, and expertise on the planet!

Energy storage is critical to enable the mass deployment of renewable power resources such as wind and solar. Our team works alongside the DNV wind, solar, hydrogen, and energy efficiency teams to facilitate the energy transition to safer, cleaner sources of power to mitigate climate change and distribute renewable energy to all who need it.

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager, Energy Storage Independent Engineering (ESIE) to join and work alongside 40 other energy storage engineers and consultants in the storage department supporting the successful development and financing of utility scale energy storage projects. This role will be focused on managing internal subject matter experts, client expectations, and financing needs to support the development of energy storage and hybrid (renewable plus storage) systems. You will be exposed to the entire storage project development life cycle and work with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting edge technology. The primary functions of this position include supporting major customer accounts, leading project due diligence, advising clients of energy storage industry best practices, managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback and ultimately contributing to the successful technical due diligence and risk mitigation of energy storage projects.

The ESIE team sits at the engineering nexus between energy storage technology and financing to support transactions that grow the market. While our clients, typically project developers, pay us, we work independently as a voice for the industry. This role will directly support and be engaged with the investor community to finance large-scale energy storage projects.

In our team, we care about providing our employees with fulfilling long-term experience. We are proud supporters of our ever-growing community of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). We prioritize flexible work environments and flexible work schedules.

This role is based at any of our DNV offices in the US, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

DNV office locations that are preferred include San Diego, Oakland, Chalfont, Portland, Seattle, Medford, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and New York City.

Other DNV office locations may also be considered.
