We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

About the role

DNV’s Energy Management (EM) team is seeking a collaborative and thoughtful professional to help shape how we deliver clean energy solutions for utilities, government agencies, and market partners. As the Head of Solution Strategy & Innovation, you will guide the development of proposals and solution strategies that align our technology capabilities—across software, analytics, and delivery support—with the needs of public and regulated energy programs.

You will help shape pricing approaches, communicate product value, and support innovation efforts that make our services more accessible and impactful. This work includes close collaboration with product, customer enablement, IT, and analytics teams to ensure our offerings are practical, scalable, and grounded in client needs.

You will work in close coordination with EM Technology leadership, the Market Growth & Development team, and operational and customer-facing teams. This role also includes contributing to pitch content and proposal materials, with attention to clear communication, user experience, and effective presentation.

This role is based at our DNV office in Katy, TX; Oakland, CA; Chalfont, PA; Oak Brook, IL; Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV; Jersey City, NJ and Dublin, OH, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

  • Work cross-functionally with EM Technology leadership, Legal, Market Growth & development, and customer operations teams to shape offerings grounded in our technical capabilities.
  • Define solution architecture narratives and contribute to technical volumes of proposals in close partnership with EM leadership, the Customer Enablement team, product managers, data scientists, and engineering leads.
  • Manage pricing strategy with awareness of system design, integration requirements, and support costs.
  • Drive alignment between solution development investments and financial goals by contributing to revenue tracking and ensuring innovation efforts are prioritized based on market growth opportunities.
  • Translate complex technical components into clear, compelling customer-facing proposal content and visuals.
  • Coordinate innovation efforts tied to technical delivery—including pilots, new digital workflows, and solution enhancements.
