DNV Business Assurance is a leading provider of management systems certification, assurance, and risk management services. Based in Høvik Norway, DNV operates globally, helping organizations improve their business performance and manage risks effectively. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Intern to join our team for the Spring/Summer 2026. The Intern will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market and competitor analysis across various sectors using well-established methodologies. The primary goal will be to identify and present potential opportunities for our certification and training company to expand our services and enhance our market position.

Responsibilities:

  • April/May
    • Sending out a questionnaire or in other way initiate collection of data.
  • From mid June and until mid August
    • Collect and interpret data on costumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Conduct sector-specific research and analysis using PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces, Osterwalder’s canvas, SWOT and/or other frameworks.
    • Prepare reports and presentations that highlight findings and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate research and align on strategic initiatives.
  • August
    • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making support.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market and competitor research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and market analysis software tools.

This role offers the Intern a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market analysis and strategic planning, while contributing to the growth of a dynamic certification company. The Intern will also have the chance to work with experienced professionals and develop skills that are critical for a successful career in business analysis and strategy.
