Tine Marie - HR Business Partner

So in my role in HR, since we're constantly developing new initiatives for employees, it's always great when your ideas are heard and they actually become reality. When I had the idea for the workshops that I ran this spring, that was a great feeling to be seen and that they trusted my opinion and my ability to actually bring this forward. I think that's one of the core parts of DNV is that everyone is here for a common purpose and we all just work towards the same thing together. I think there's definitely a culture of respect and acknowledging each other's perspectives and that definitely makes young people like me or new colleagues joining in that their opinion is valued. Since we have so many young people here at DNV, we have a lot of opportunities to spend time together outside of work too. For example, I'm on the volleyball team. We just had a tournament yesterday where we won around half of the games, but it was very, very fun. We also do some kayaking sometimes mornings before work, and it's just so amazing to be out there on the water. It's super peaceful and quiet, and it's just an amazing start to the morning. I think since we are such a global company, that just provides an immense amount of opportunities. We have something called the Knowledge Booster, where you get to travel three months abroad on an exchange program. And that's just an amazing opportunity to learn something new and also bring back some experience to your own department. I usually take the DNV shuttle bus to work. We have our own bus going from Oslo to DNV. And that's a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and say hello to new ones. What makes me proud working at DNV is the passion that people have and the actual change that we are making in the world. Maybe not directly, but somehow we are all part of it.
