The Story
Leading teams. Driving innovation.
For the past 13 years, Edda has worked on the development of DNV Maritime’s Nauticus Production System (NPS). She focuses on applications supporting “Certification of Materials and Components” (CMC). Together with her team based in Norway, India and China, they develop and improve the software which is used both by DNV and our customers – adding new features, ensuring smooth operation and providing support.
With innovation at the heart of everything they do, the team collaborates with research initiatives focused on new technologies and ways of working. Edda sees this as a unique opportunity for continuous learning and improvement.
“Being part of a long-term product journey means that I can influence how our software grows and adapts to industry needs over time. Through this work, I’ve learned a great deal about the maritime industry and our customers, which makes the development process even more meaningful”, says Edda.
Feeling motivated. Inspiring growth.
“I’ve been with DNV for a very long time, and I still love my work. Our shared purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, motivates me every day. There is an open-minded and inclusive culture, where we learn from our failures and experiences. And working with dedicated, competent and supportive colleagues from all over the world makes my work much more enjoyable,” says Edda.
She is especially inspired by the knowledge of her younger colleagues and how they seize the opportunity to learn and grow. It reassures her that the future software development is in good hands.
The amazing campus in Høvik
“The surroundings at our main office at Høvik are incredible, and I use them as often as I can,” says Edda. For her, the very best days start with biking to work or jogging along the seaside before jumping into the sea. After work she often joins training sessions and sometimes manages to get time to use the sail boats and kayaks.
