Dennis – Sales Executive
Dennis’ role as a Sales Executive at DNV is about listening, asking the right questions, and connecting organisations with the expertise they need to move forward with confidence.
The Story
Connecting clients with the right experts
As a Sales Executive Dennis works closely with clients to understand where they are in their management system journey. From there, he connects them with the right consultants, training, and guidance to help them implement systems correctly and sustainably.
“What I enjoy most is really understanding the client’s situation. Sometimes organisations think certification is just a checklist. My role is to ask the right questions and help them find the right support to do it properly,” says Dennis.
Delivering meaningful work with people he can trust, and helping customers move forward with confidence is something that makes him feel proud.
One team, many perspectives
Dennis’ role puts him in constant contact with multiple teams across DNV, from technical experts and planners to operations and auditors. He describes collaboration as one of the strongest aspects of working at DNV – and one that helps him grow.
“You are never working alone. Technical teams challenge your assumptions, operations help you see the full picture, and auditors share their expertise openly. That collaboration makes you better at your job every single day,” he says.
A global company that feels personal
For Dennis, one of the biggest surprises was how personal the culture feels within such a large global organisation: “From day one, I had a buddy who supported me with every question. That made a huge difference. DNV is global, but it feels like a family company. People are approachable, open, and genuinely willing to help.”
The strong onboarding and training structure helped him quickly understand the business and feel confident in his role. This sense of being supported, valued, and listened to is what makes Dennis feel at the heart of it.
When growth is backed by trust
“What motivates me is knowing there is room to grow. Hearing from my manager that there is a future for me here really boosted my confidence,” says Dennis. That confidence is reinforced by working for a company with a strong reputation.
“Anywhere you go, when you mention DNV, people recognise the name. That makes me proud to represent the company, because I know it stands for quality and integrity,” he explains.
For Dennis, it’s this combination of clear development opportunities, supportive leadership, and a trusted name that makes DNV a place where he can build a long-term career while delivering work that genuinely matters.
