The Story
Błażej believes that growth at DNV comes from being open, proactive and ready to learn. It’s all about seizing the opportunities when they arrive. For him this meant moving from Talent Acquisition team into Compensation & Benefits – a career change that allowed him to broaden his skills and deepen his understanding of the business.
Supporting teams to do their best work
In his current role as Team Leader, Błażej is responsible for the smooth running of Global Compensation & Benefits operations, focusing on quality, reliability and ensuring the team delivers consistently against agreed service levels. “My job is to make sure the team has the right knowledge, tools and support to deliver what we promise,” he explains.
What motivates him most is the opportunity to coordinate, develop and improve - both processes and people. For him, the exciting part is the challenge. He likes connecting the dots, simplifying things and making them better.
Feeling proud of improving the way things work
One achievement Błażej is particularly proud of is learning how to use Power BI to create a centralised reporting dashboard. The dashboard consolidated several key reports into one clear, accessible view. “What started as a personal improvement quickly became a solution used by the entire Talent Acquisition Leadership Team and is now being scaled up. It’s really rewarding knowing that my ideas have made things easier for the whole team,” he says.
Learning, growing and having an impact
For Błażej, career progression at DNV is supported by an environment where ideas are genuinely listened to. “If you want to change something, you need to have an idea and speak up. And here at DNV, people really listen,” he says. This openness encouraged him to get involved beyond his core responsibilities, broaden his perspective and deepen understanding of the organisation - which opened doors to new opportunities.
One learning experience that was key for Błażej was the Evolve learning programme for leaders, which he describes as eye-opening. “I learned a lot already being in the role. I could compare my approach with others and apply the learnings immediately,” he says. Support from managers and colleagues played a major role as well - through mentoring, invitations to meetings and encouragement to step outside his comfort zone.
“DNV is a place where you can really go beyond and develop,” Błażej says - and that is what keeps him motivated to keep building what comes next.
