About the role

Are you passionate about technology, safety, and making a real-world impact? Looking to grow your career in a field where your work truly matters?

DNV is calling on motivated and curious (young) professionals to join our team of inspectors. We manage the BMWT-Keur quality system — a nationally recognized certification for the safety and reliability of work equipment.

As a BMWT-Keur Inspector, you’ll play a key role in ensuring machinery used across the Netherlands is safe, certified, and up to standard. You’ll inspect everything from forklifts to cranes, contribute to the safety of workplaces, and help maintain the trusted image of the BMWT-Keur mark.

What your day will look like:

Our planner will send you a daily driving route which will include around 5 to 7 brief product inspections at various customer locations. To support you in this, you'll be provided with a company car, mobile phone, and tablet for efficient daily reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic safety inspections on various types of work equipment.
  • Compare inspection reports with the real condition of equipment.
  • Follow a structured inspection process using digital tools and checklists.
  • Identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to ensure high inspection quality.

What you will check:

  • Visual Inspection: Look for visible damage, missing guards, wear and tear. Ensure all safety guards and protective devices are in place and functional.
  • Operational Check: Test machinery, check control systems, ensure safe function of all control mechanisms.
  • Documentation Review: Verify maintenance records and past inspection reports to ensure all is up-to date and accurate. Compare actual state equipment versus inspection reports.
  • Safety Features: Confirm emergency stops, warning labels are present and operational. Verify that all equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintenance Check: Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced according to manufacturers recommendations. Identify issues and maintenance issues that need to be addressed.

Grow your career and gain hands-on experience and certification in an essential industry. Learn from your peers and experts in your team by means of working with experienced inspectors and our technical teams. You will be supported with your development by means of training, mentorship and learning opportunities on the job.
