About the role

DNV is the world’s leading classification society and a recognized advisor for the maritime industry, on a purpose to safeguard life, property, and the environment. We are looking for a Fleet in Service Team Lead to join this mission, by strengthening our team and ensuring continued high-value services to our customers. The position is based in Mumbai, India. Our Fleet in Service team is responsible for delivering surveys through various ports across India Subcontinent.

In DNV, we work with the key players in the maritime industry to navigate through the various challenges supporting customers to maintain operations towards 2030 and beyond. You will be leading a highly motivated and dedicated team of surveyors.

General:

The FIS Team Lead will be responsible in leading the team and shall plan, co-ordinate, support, follow-up and improve station operations, to achieve DNV & Unit goals. Contribute to global FiS success in large, with focus on safety, quality, implementation, and results. FIS Team Lead shall engage and support customer technical queries, including efforts towards customers to manage quality and market needs.

  • Carry out Surveys/Audits on board vessels as required

  • Follows up and ensures that requests received from external customers are responded to as promptly as possible.

About you

  • Hold an Academic degree in Naval Architecture\Marine Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Proven track record in Maritime Industry with experience in Classification Fleet in Service operations an advantage.
  • FiS Survey and audit competence/experience is a must.
  • Enjoy solving problems & find solutions.
  • Put customers and their needs at the centre of our services.
  • Experience in MOU and Sea Skill is advantage.
  • Experience in helping teams achieve targets, or leading changing processes is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
