The pace of climate change and the level of pressure on biodiversity as we are witnessing today, is extraordinary. This results in significant impacts on the environment we live in and poses great challenges for both people and society. Society at large and DNV's customers must find ways to overcome these challenges. Our customers are challenged on their environmental performance and goals from authorities, investors, and from the local and wider communities. We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management they turn to. Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.
We support clients in understanding and managing environmental risks associated with offshore and coastal activities. Our work spans environmental monitoring programmes, biodiversity assessments, habitat mapping, environmental and impact assessments, marine surveys, environmental risk analyses, and sustainability-related advisory services. By combining scientific expertise, digital tools, and practical industry experience, we help our clients make informed decisions that safeguard the environment while supporting sustainable development.
We have offices in Høvik and Stavanger, with three teams of highly skilled colleagues with expertise across a broad range of disciplines related to the marine environment, including marine biology, ecology, biodiversity, taxonomy, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment, environmental risk analysis, and oil spill preparedness. Our teams work closely together across Høvik and Stavanger, as well as with colleagues internationally, providing graduates with exposure to a diverse range of projects, customers, and technical specialists.
