About the role

Imagine being in a global role, working with colleagues across the world. As a People Data Analyst in DNV Group People Processes, you will be part of an international team that reaches every major part of the globe and contributes to a company renowned for its commitment to safeguarding life, property, and the environment.

We are strengthening our Group People Processes team and are looking for a dedicated and experienced People Data Analyst with a strong interest in data analytics to join us.

This role plays a crucial role in understanding and improving the workplace environment and employee engagement throughout DNV. This position involves collecting and analyzing data related to employee engagement and identifying and proposing areas for improvement. You will be responsible for reporting and analyzing global people and cross-domain metrics for use in Group People, as well as optimizing data usage. This role is crucial to reach our strategic goals, and we utilize analytics, predictions, reporting & visualizations to provide forward looking insights to drive better decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a background and interest in data analysis, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive work culture.

You will work at our Høvik office in Norway, surrounded by scenic views. The team is headed by the Head of Group People Processes, who reports to the Chief People Officer (CPO).

Main areas of responsibility for the position:

Employee Engagement

  • Facilitate and coordinate the global Pulse survey process for regular monitoring of employee sentiments and experiences
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction based on data-driven insights
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to relevant senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of engagement initiatives with business goals
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure our engagement survey remains innovative and effective

Data Analytics

  • Collaborate with Group People and other senior stakeholders to understand needs and support decision-making processes based on data-driven insight
  • Utilize statistical methods and software to identify patterns and extract meaningful insight from datasets sourced from group-wide HR systems
  • Conduct group-wide HR reporting to track key global metrics and trends
  • Present data findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security when handling sensitive information

About you

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Several years of relevant experience in HR analytics
  • Knowledge of and experience with HR software and data analysis tools

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Understanding of how HR data impacts business decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly present insights and recommendations
