Overview

About us

We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management. Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.

As a trusted voice for many of the world’s most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping how modern Finance and Legal functions work in a global organization? Do you thrive in the sweet spot between digital transformation, data, and legal/compliance?

Then this is a role where you can create real impact.

DNV’s Group Functions provide strategic direction, governance, and specialized expertise across the entire organization. These functions include People, Communication, Digital & Development, Group Research & Development and Finance & Legal. Together, we act as enablers for sustainable growth, risk management, and innovation, delivering economies of scale.

Group Finance & Legal (GFL) is responsible for risk management, including finance and legal management, to support effective business decisions and long-term value creation. GFL consists of the following departments: Legal, Accounting, Tax, Performance Management, Treasury, Internal Audit M&A and Ventures.

About the Role
This is your opportunity to shape the future ways of working for DNV’s Finance and Legal communities — two areas undergoing significant transformation globally.
You will coordinate initiatives that modernize legal and compliance processes, strengthen data governance, and unlock smarter, more efficient workflows. In this role, you will work closely with experts across legal, finance, data, and technology — bringing clarity, direction, and momentum to complex cross-functional topics.

What you will coordinate and influence

1. Driving Digital Transformation in Finance & Legal
You will participate in identifying where processes can be improved, how data should flow, and what technology can best support the work. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts and tech specialists to translate needs into practical digital solutions.

One of your first priorities will be enhancing our CRM-related processes with a focus on Salesforce — a great opportunity to quickly create a visible impact.
Beyond this, you will help shape how legal and compliance topics are handled digitally across DNV and ensure that these perspectives are embedded in digital initiatives happening across DNV.

2. Strengthening Data Governance and Responsible Use of Data & AI
As DNV accelerates its data and AI journey, you will help ensure that legal considerations are clearly understood, consistently applied, and well integrated. You will facilitate alignment across Finance, Legal, and other business areas — enabling responsible, future ready use of data.
A key ambition is establishing end to end clarity across processes to ensure that digital solutions and governance frameworks truly support the business.

At DNV, you’ll be part of a company that genuinely values people and invests in them.

  • A strong, international brand with a clear purpose
