About the role

Role Summary

The Head of Project Administration & Controlling is a senior leadership role in the DNV Cyber Finance & Performance organization. The role has operational end‑to‑end responsibility for the Project‑to‑Invoice (P2I) and Order-to-invoice (OM) value chain, combining full ownership of project controlling with the leadership of an international team of Project Controllers.

The role is owner and key driver of standardized, high‑quality, and efficient project and finance KPI delivery. The position partners closely with CFO, Business Controllers, Business and Project Managers, GSS, and BA Centre governance to optimize revenue recognition, working capital, cash flow, and process efficiency.

This role is both strategic and operational: setting direction, driving change and automation, and ensuring strong execution across all regions and business units.

The role will be located in Norway, Sweden or Finland.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an international team of Project Controllers, fostering a knowledgeable, high‑performance and inclusive culture
  • Own and continuously improve the end‑to‑end Project controlling process, from CRM system to project setup to project termination
  • Drive process standardization and quality across global operations while ensuring compliance with local regulations and governance
  • Lead change, efficiency, and automation initiatives to simplify workflows and improve scalability
  • Ensure strong financial performance, with focus on revenue recognition, WIP and cash flow management, and assurance of working capital
  • Define, monitor, and act on key performance indicators, initiating corrective actions where needed
  • Partner closely with Finance leadership, Project Managers, Business Controllers, and Shared Services to ensure effective delivery and stakeholder alignment

About you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in project controlling, project administration, or finance operations within a project‑based business
  • Proven experience in leading international teams and diverse cultures
  • Strong understanding of back-office and operational end‑to‑end processes, including financial project management with revenue recognition, WIP, working capital, and cash flow
  • Experience working with global, standardized processes and governance models
  • High system affinity with an interest in automation, digitalization, and process improvement
  • Strong analytical and KPI‑driven mindset to monitor performance and drive corrective actions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Project Management, and Shared Services
  • Change‑oriented, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
