The ideal candidate has the following: - Has an interest in pursuing a career in applied research in governance, digital transformation and assurance.
- Has relevant technical (e.g., AI, statistics, computer science, engineering or related) or non-technical background (e.g. law, business, innovation or related) at Master or PhD level.
- Has 5 years’ experience in research, policy analysis or techno-legal work which involves bridging regulation, policy and technology.
- Has proven experience with bridging AI, regulation and policy.
- Is familiar with key international, national and global AI governance initiatives, such as the EU AI Act, AI safety and security initiatives, and CEN and ISO standards. Familiarity with risk management methodologies is a plus.
- Has exceptional analytical and communication skills with the ability to distill complex regulatory language into clear, actionable insights for technology-first teams.

- Interest and ability to reflect on technology and digital transformation in a bigger picture.
- Passion and intellectual curiosity about the intersection of technology, law and standards.
