DNV Cyber assesses and mitigates cyber risks facing critical infrastructure along the entire value-chain of the energy, maritime, healthcare and other industries. We help some of the world’s biggest brands to establish cyber security programmes, assess their exposure to risk, build compliance, and verify the resilience of their technical infrastructure.

Do you want to kickstart your career in Cyber Security? DNV is looking for cyber trainees 2025!

The DNV Cyber Trainee Programme is a structured programme for trainees with interest in Cyber Security who want to start a career with us.

The trainee programme will last 18 months and will be individually tailored to each trainee to ensure that you get the right competence for your future role in DNV.  During this time, you will get the opportunity to work in different parts of the organisation and acquire in-depth understanding of our business. You will work with exciting technologies towards our target markets to solve customer problems and deliver sustainable results. The programme will also give you a chance to attend networking events and benefit from a rich offer of training courses that will boost your development.  

After an introduction to the company and our culture you will be working with innovative processes and exciting technologies in day-to-day business and in project work. Alongside job rotations and potential international assignments, you will develop a strong trainee network. Social gatherings and common training events will provide possibilities to share experience and knowledge with other trainees. Your development journey will be supported by a dedicated mentor.

Our Høvik office is located in beautiful surroundings by the sea and can offer access to sailboats, kayaks, tennis courts etc. We have more than 30 activity groups for you to join, as well as gym facilities and a kindergarten located on our premises. It is also worth noting that we offer free parking and shuttle buses to and from Skøyen, Lysaker and Sandvika.

About you

We are looking for:

  • BSc, MSc or PhD within Cyber Security or closely related areas
  • Interest in helping our customers building a powerful defence against cyber attacks
  • Team-players with the ability to deliver, even in hectic times
  • Takes pride in their work and can present it in a trustworthy matter
  • Interest in understanding the business context as well as the cyber aspects
  • Have a security mindset in all you do
  • Knows how to add value to a diverse team
