About the role

The Global Shared Services (GSS) organization within DNV provides high-quality, cost-effective services and processes within Human Resources, Finance and IT, based on requirements defined by the business areas and Group. GSS also develops central competence for distinct services, projects and development and will support policy, procedures and system implementation on a global, regional, and local level.

The GSS Human Resources Department provides support to the following business areas: Maritime, Energy Systems, Business Assurance, Life Sciences and Accelerator.

DNV has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor/HR Advisor to support both the local and regional organisation of DNV with a range of advisory activities, working with management to support the organisation and its employees. A great role for an aspiring professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and growing global organisation, DNV in Singapore has around 300 staff and more than 800+ in the South Asia region. This position reports into the Singapore based GSS HR Manager and is part of the regional team in Global Shared Services.

  • Be a business partner and provide a consultancy and advisory service to line management and HR Manager on employee relations and management issues (including the interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, Awards, legislation, internal policies and procedures).
  • Provide value-adding advisory services, e.g. training for line management and staff on new regulations.
  • Be part in multi-disciplinary GSS teams and participate in (international or global) projects and change processes.
  • Implement, govern, and improve employee policies, as well as ensure legislative compliance.
  • Be the key point of contact to coordinate between business areas and suppliers on HR related queries.
  • Guide and support the team on benefit and insurance related matters, including contract renewal negotiations, market studies, invoice validate, plan redesign and change management.
  • Maintain an effective understanding of DNV strategy, and activities, analyze business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records by ensuring contractual employment agreements are up to date, accurate and in accordance with company policy and legislation.
  • Support and guide the global center teams where required with local advice.
  • Support with employee wellbeing and engagement programs.
  • Liaise with authorities on legal employment law issues where needed.
  • Assist with potential workers compensation claims.
  • Support with M&A activities.

About you

  • A recognized qualification in HR or a related discipline (ideally Bachelor level).
  • Previous HR experience of at least 3-8 years in a similar role (e.g. HR Advisor).
  • Eligibility to work in Singapore.
  • Have a sound understanding of local legislation and pro-actively seeks to understand changes to legislation and advises the business accordingly.
  • Previous experience in advising the business of employment related matters (including performance management, investigations, etc.) and ideally award mapping.
  • Sound knowledge of Compensation and Benefit function and deliverables, including insurance claims management.
  • An interest and ability to execute HR administration as an important premise for HR management in the business areas.
  • Customer focused, service minded and solution driven.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong computer and data literacy relating to MS suite, such as excel, teams, power bi and copilot (or similar AI agentic tools).
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced MNC environment.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
