About the role

As the internal support organization for DNV and DNV owned companies, GSS deliver shared services within Human Resources, Finance, IT and Real Estate & Procurement to DNV globally. Our mission is to enable DNV to grow, succeed with its business goals and improve competitiveness. Customer experience is at the core of everything we do. GSS is responsible for many of the tools, processes and daily routines that create the backbone of DNV.

GSS HR France is looking for an HR Advisor - French and English Speaking.

Based in our French Headquarters in Paris, you will support daily our 5 business areas and 5 locations in France representing around 160 employees.

You will report to the Senior HR Manager for France and Switzerland. You will be part of the WSEE GSS HR Team, full of dedicated and friendly HR professionals with various backgrounds.

You will mainly focus on handling and resolving various and challenging HR queries in English (60% of your time) but will also need strong French skills to understand and draft various documents (templates, agreements…).

Your key responsibilities will be the following :

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues (e.g. performance management, dispute resolution, absence management), providing day-to-day employee relations guidance to line management involving external legal support as necessary
  • Provide advice to stakeholders in a customer group on HR issues including the interpretation of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and best practice.
  • Liaise with employee representative bodies, authorities or law firms on employment issues
  • Support and guide the Global Center teams where required with advice on local specifics or interpretations.
  • Assist with the review, update and publication of local HR policies including the local PAG
  • Support ad-hoc local, regional and global HR projects and initiatives as they arise
  • Maintain generalist knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees

About you

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Fluent in French (interpret French Employment Law and draft and implement policies) and English (corporate language, a lot of interaction with Line Managers/colleagues based abroad on complex topics)
  • 3 years’ experience as HR Generalist in a demanding and digitalized environment with strong knowledge of French Law on various HR Topics (such as employment agreements, termination…)
  • Strongly focused on data governance and compliance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Agile, flexible, and adapt easily to change to support the improvements of the way we work (automation/digitalization/task transfers) and various internal initiatives - curious in IT area - how to improve the way of work
  • Ability to work independently in an international matrix environment
  • Exposure and habit to use various AI tools is preferred
