As the internal support organization for DNV and DNV owned companies, we deliver shared services within Human Resources, Finance, IT and Real Estate & Procurement to DNV globally. Our mission is to enable DNV to grow, succeed with its business goals and improve competitiveness. Customer experience is at the core of everything we do. GSS is responsible for many of the tools, processes and daily routines that create the backbone of DNV.

About the role

The DNV Tax Department Central Europe is responsible for full tax compliance and operational tax support for German and Austrian DNV entities. This includes recurring tax compliance activities, support in tax audits, and the provision of timely tax input into business processes.

As part of a regional and global DNV tax network, the Junior Tax Manager / Tax Specialist supports the Tax team in ensuring that tax compliance obligations are fulfilled on time and that business‑facing tax processes operate smoothly. The role is designed as an operational support and coordination function, forming an essential part of the Tax operating model and enabling senior tax roles to focus on complex advisory, audit and strategic matters.

What you will do:

  • Assist in Project Tax Screening (PTS) by preparing tax screenings, gathering relevant facts, coordinating with Business Areas and documenting in Salesforce.
  • Support with VAT tasks, including reconciliations of VAT returns and handling VAT related queries.
  • Support Event Taxation by the tax review of event related expenses regarding tax aspects.
  • Support recurring tax compliance activities (DAC6, withholding tax, certificates of residence).
  • Prepare documentation and data for tax audits and internal compliance reviews.
  • Maintain and update tax process documentation within the Tax Control Framework.
  • Support digital tools, process improvements and automation initiatives within the Tax function.

  • An international working environment with exposure to regional and global tax topics
  • Opportunities for professional development and learning within an in-house tax function
  • Flexible working time, home office options and an attractive office location in Hamburg HafenCity
  • Annual profit share scheme – company-based performance bonus
  • 30 vacation days per year
  • Sickness supplement for up to 12 months
  • Competitive compensation including employer-funded pension, transport subsidy and additional local benefits

About you
