About the role

We are looking for a enthusiastic, ambitious and pro-active Regional Tax Manager to join our team and support our customers with tax related matters in the Netherlands and region. The regional country office in Arnhem (The Netherlands) is part of the Region West, South and Eastern Europe (WSEE), which covers 34 legal entities in 20 countries in Europe. The regional country office is responsible for the activities of 4 legal entities in the Netherlands and currently consists of a team of 4 finance professionals.

As Global Shared Services Finance (GSS FI) in the Netherlands we support six business areas, including Business Assurance, Supply Chain, Maritime, Energy Systems, Digital Solutions, and DNV Cyber. We are recognizing more than 150 million EUR in revenue and are working with over 600 professionals. in The Netherlands. Standard finance tasks like Cash Management, Accounts Payable, and Record-to-Report are handled by our Global Center in Poland. We are seeking an experienced regional tax manager in the Netherlands to oversee (international) tax compliance and provide tax advisory on all relevant taxes.

You will report directly into the Regional Finance Manager for WSEE, who is also based in the Netherlands. Your stakeholders will reside both in the Netherlands, but also abroad. You will be part of the GSS FI team in the Netherlands.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance teams across the WSEE region, focusing on tax compliance for Dutch entities.
  • Prepare and support annual CIT calculations and filings, considering the fiscal unity in the Netherlands.
  • Serve as the main contact for tax-related issues for Dutch and regional entities.
  • Assist with tax expertise across 19 other countries in the WSEE region.
  • Act as a tax advisor to chief accountants across the region.
  • Respond to ad hoc and project-related tax inquiries for business operations.
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation with external advisors and Group Tax.
  • Participate in global tax discussions and collaborate with Regional Tax Managers and Group Tax.
  • Coordinate with regional tax managers, share responsibilities, and provide backup where needed.
  • Review and assess project tax risks, particularly for cross-border proposals, and consult with others when necessary.
  • Analyze tax aspects, including international tax law, DTAs, and Transfer Pricing.
  • Advise on tax impacts during M&A projects and internal restructuring.
  • Monitor changes in Dutch and international tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize tax positions and reduce risks in the region.
  • Maintain relationships with Dutch Tax Authorities and manage tax audits or inspections, including payroll tax audits.

About you

  • Bachelors and or Master's degree in International or Dutch Tax (other tax degrees with relevant experience considered).
  • Preferably 7 years of experience (Big 4 or international business experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of international tax and Dutch tax principles.
  • Preferred experience in tax accounting and industries like maritime, oil & gas, energy, or software.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Finance (ERP) and digital tax processes (automation, e-tax reporting, etc.).
  • Fluent language skills in Dutch and English, both in writing and in speach.
  • Experience in global finance and international business environments.
  • Skilled in data analytics (Power-BI, advanced Excel).
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, strong communication skills, and stakeholder management.
  • Able to balance high-level strategy with hands-on detail work.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, growing organization.
