As the internal support organization for DNV and DNV owned companies, we deliver shared services within Human Resources, Finance, IT and Real Estate & Procurement to DNV globally. About the role

Core Applications is a global unit in the Global Shared Service IT (GSS IT) organization. The unit manages, operates and delivers support for DNV global applications for Finance and HR such as Oracle Finance (eBusiness Suite) and Oracle Cloud HCM. Core Applications has a global reach with over 80 employees mainly located in Poland, India and Norway in addition to Spain, Netherlands, UK, Philippines and USA.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT leader to take on the position of Head of Core Applications to manage and support strategic unit's planning & lead our Global HR Applications Competence Center & Finance Applications Teams.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to become part of the IT organization’s management team, driving how IT supports the digitalization strategy of DNV. Head of Core Applications reports directly to GSS IT Director, Dag Skage.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the finance and HR core applications in DNV, working on the digital roadmap, and implementing system improvements and enabling business critical technology projects. The position will also manage strategic consulting within this domain (Finance and HR) to our internal customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be part of and contribute to the evolution of the IT leadership team in GSS.
  • Lead and develop the core applications global team (ensure we have the right team in place – capacity, competencies, localization wise).
  • Manage stakeholder dialogue (Business, Group, GSS, partners/vendors).
  • Ensure stable, secure, scalable, compliant and agile delivery of IT services related to the Core Applications domain (in close collaboration with other global IT delivery ares and stakeholders).
  • Manage delivery of strategic IT & digitalization projects within the domain, including defining business aligned roadmaps for the domain.
  • Oversee governance of various functional groups related to HR and Finance Applications in scope.
  • Deliver stable and well performing SLA services on applications & services to minimize business disruption.
  • Manage financial, customer satisfaction and other performance KPIs for the domain.
  • Recruit and coach/mentor staff and key partners to ensure effective IT service delivery within the domain.
  • Ensure that the applications and services are running in compliance with our GSS IT security baseline, data protection rules (GDPR) and other regulations/policies within DNV.

About you

Position Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or similar academic credentials preferred (relevant professional experience in lieu of an advanced degree considered).
  • Minimum 10 years of professional IT leadership/management experience.
  • Prior experience from a global shared service IT environment or a well-recognized technology/ management consulting company would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience from global organizations managing distributed teams in different geographies/cultures.
  • Good understanding of relevant technologies (including ERP, HCM and CRM) and modern technology concepts (including cloud, AI, PaaS/SaaS, data & analytics) and current service area digital trends.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high competence in your service domain and good understanding of the other service domains in Core Applications.
  • Proven ability to achieve results through others and utilize team competencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
  • Professional proficiency in English, written and oral.
  • Willingness to travel.
