About the role

As a Lab Technician, you’ll work alongside our team of consultants, engineers and technicians to deliver dimensional, pressure and temperature calibrations for a wide client base. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll also support the wider delivery team who conduct full-scale asset testing, pipeline repair and intervention projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct dimensional, pressure and temperature calibrations within a UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Record and validate calibration data with a high level of accuracy
  • Produce calibration certificates and technical reports
  • Maintain asset registers and maintenance records
  • Support a wider delivery team in flow testing, flow calibration and other operational activities
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with operational procedures
  • Communicate effectively with technical colleagues, clients and stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate the collection, receipt and return of client assets

About you

What you’ll bring:

  • Practical experience within an engineering, laboratory or technical environment
  • A technical understanding of measured results, calibration principles and measurement uncertainties
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong communication skills, with experience of report writing and data analysis
  • Excellent organisational skills with the initiative to prioritise tasks and deliver outstanding results
  • A flexible, positive attitude and commitment to working safely
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering would be beneficial but is not essential
