About the role

Are you passionate about helping organizations work smarter, improve continuously, and achieve measurable results?

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Specialist to support the adoption and deployment of DNV's Operational Excellence (OEx) framework across our Digital and Data Solutions (DDS) business.

In this role, you will work closely with leaders and teams across software development, product management, customer success, and business operations to identify improvement opportunities, facilitate structured problem-solving, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement. You will play a key role in enabling teams to improve efficiency, quality, predictability, and customer value delivery.

Working as part of the global Operational Excellence team, you will partner with the Global Operational Excellence Manager and business leaders to support DDS in achieving its strategic ambitions through sustainable operational improvements and stronger ways of working.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing digital business at the forefront of the energy transition while developing expertise in Operational Excellence within a software and technology-driven environment.

What you'll do

  • Partner with leaders and teams to identify, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities.

  • Apply Operational Excellence tools and methodologies, including Lean principles, standard work, visual management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support improvement pilots and initiatives that drive efficiency, quality, scalability, and customer value.
  • Coach managers and teams in Operational Excellence practices and continuous improvement methods.
  • Ensure local practices are aligned with global Operational Excellence standards, governance, and roadmaps.
  • Track improvement activities, share lessons learned, and support benefit realization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve processes and ways of working across DDS.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence training sessions, workshops, and awareness activities.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, and decisions needs in a structured and timely manner.
  • Contribute to building a strong culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.

What we offer

  • Meaningful work: Build trusted digital services that contribute to a safer and more sustainable maritime industry.
  • Competitive rewards and benefits: Six weeks of annual leave, a subsidised canteen, competitive pension and insurance arrangements, parental leave benefits and a global profit-share scheme.

  • Professional growth: Challenging assignments, knowledge sharing, mentoring and access to a large international technology community.
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture: Work with skilled colleagues across disciplines and countries in an environment shaped by openness, trust and shared responsibility.
  • A great workplace at Høvik: Our seaside campus offers gym facilities, activity groups, free parking and shuttle buses to and from Skøyen, Lysaker and Sandvika.
  • A clear purpose: Join a world-leading company guided by “we care, we share, we dare” and a purpose to safeguard life, property and the environment.
