Overview

About us

We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management. Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.

As a trusted voice for many of the world’s most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.

About the role

GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV company, is at the heart of the global energy transformation. We use data-driven digital solutions to optimize the performance of renewable energy installations around the world. Our work contributes to a more diverse and a more sustainable global energy mix.

We are now seeking an Account Executive to join our fast growing Green Data Products team, leading new business development and driving the expansion of our Solcast and SolarFarmer digital products into a broader customer base.

This role offers the chance to directly influence how the industry leverages high quality weather and solar data at every stage of the renewable energy lifecycle. You will take full ownership of the sales process - from identifying and engaging new prospects, to driving opportunities through to close - ensuring timely follow up and consistent customer engagement. Working across a broad customer landscape, including developers, asset owners, grid operators, and energy agencies, you will play a key role in expanding our commercial footprint and strengthening our market presence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities, managing a balanced pipeline of inbound and self sourced outbound leads with the support of target lists, sales tools, and go-to market enablement.
  • Communicate the value of our digital forecasting and solar data solutions through customer meetings, demos, and presentations, while building strong relationships, understanding customer challenges, and positioning the right solutions to meet their needs.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, contributing directly to the revenue growth of the Solar Data Products business.
  • Represent the business at relevant industry conferences (up to four per year domestically, with optional international travel), supporting networking and lead generation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and provide clear feedback on customer needs and market insights to support product and go-to market improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date CRM records, including customer details, engagement activities, and pipeline status.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to adapt your sales approach effectively.

This role begins with a one year focus on the Green Data Products line, giving you hands-on experience in a fast growing digital business. After the first year, and based on business needs and your performance, you’ll have opportunities to continue growing within GPM - either in the same team or across other product lines and brands.

You will join a high impact area that plays a key role in DNV’s digital strategy. As DNV expands its digital presence in renewable energy, you’ll benefit from a dynamic environment rich in learning, development, and long term career opportunities.
