About Energy Systems

We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

About the role

Do you have a passion for digital innovation and AI – and want to shape how Energy Systems APAC scales with greater performance by putting customers at the centre, reusing what already works, and developing new solutions where they add value?

Here at DNV, what we do matters. Whether it’s helping the Energy Industry transition to a more decarbonised and sustainable future or helping safeguard life, property and the environment, every day, what you do will make a difference. This is our shared purpose and one our people are proud to be part of.

Energy Systems APAC is a highly diverse and fast‑growing region, spanning multiple markets, regulatory environments, and stages of digital maturity. The region plays a critical role in delivering on Energy Systems Strategy 2030, with strong growth ambitions and an increasing need to scale consistently, efficiently, and with greater transparency across countries, service lines and delivery models.

The Digital Innovation Lead, APAC will play a key role in enabling this journey by shaping how digital, data, and AI capabilities are applied across the region to support performance, scalability, and consistent execution. The role provides an important bridge between customer needs, regional business realities, and global digital capabilities, ensuring that digital innovation is grounded in operational and market context and focused on delivering tangible value.

The position is part of the Regional Finance & Performance team (including Operational Excellence) and reports to the Regional Finance & Performance Manager, APAC. This reflects our belief that close integration between digital innovation, performance management, and Operational Excellence is essential to ensure digital initiatives are value‑led, execution‑focused, and translated into measurable results. The role will also work in strong partnership with the regional leadership team to embed digital innovation into everyday ways of working and directly support business outcomes.

Our Opportunity:

Energy Systems is executing an ambitious Strategy 2030, where digital leadership is a key enabler of scalable growth, and stronger performance. Across APAC, we have built momentum through a range of smaller digital, data, and automation initiatives—now we are consolidating these efforts into one dedicated, full‑time Digital Innovation Lead role to create a clear roadmap, increase reuse of proven solutions, and develop new capabilities where they add value. Working closely with Finance & Performance and Operational Excellence, you will translate strategic ambitions into practical, measurable initiatives that enable faster and better decision-making – supporting both our internal teams and the way we create value for customers.

Our role is an exciting and varied one. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive an APAC digital roadmap, aligned with Energy Systems strategy, market needs and regional business priorities, in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the region.
  • Engage with Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers and other stakeholders to bring insights from customer interactions, projects and regional market developments into the prioritisation of regional and global digital and data initiatives, in close collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Translate ambitions around digital leadership, data, AI, and automation into concrete, value‑driven initiatives that can be scaled across the region.
  • Drive implementation and adoption of digital services and solutions across APAC, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable customer and business impact.
  • Work closely with the operational teams, together with Finance & Performance and Operational Excellence, to embed digital solutions into standard ways of working, improving efficiency, transparency, and decision‑making.
  • Establish and coordinate an APAC network of AI and digital champions, fostering collaboration, capability building, and reuse of solutions.
  • Collaborate with Digital & Data Solutions (DDS) to align regional needs with global data platforms, digital products, and analytics capabilities.
  • Partner with Digital & Transformation (D&T) to ensure alignment with enterprise transformation initiatives, platforms, architecture, security, and governance.
  • Ensure digital initiatives comply with governance, security, and risk requirements and promote reuse rather than fragmentation.
