About the role

DNV Energy Systems Region Asia Pacific consists of roughly 650 people, with physical presence across 14 countries. Our business area Finance & Performance (F&P) team helps the business maintain accurate financial information, supports strategic decision making and acts as a Business Partner to drive excellent commercial performance. We need leaders who drive business operations to meet customers’ expectations while also continuously improving the way we work. Region APAC is seeking the Team Lead role within the Project Administration area to manage our team of Project Administrators.

The Team Lead Project Administration is part of the regional Project- Controlling, Administration & A/R section, and reports to the regional Head of Project Controlling. The Team Lead Project Administration is responsible for managing the (virtual) team of Project Administrators, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures in line with BA Center governance, streamlining the transactional activities in the project-to-invoice process. The person in this role has a high competence in understanding our system landscape and the existing interfaces in order to contribute to finding new innovative solutions for improved efficiency and quality. The person in this role contributes to a culture of being accountable and taking responsibility.

Primary tasks of this role:

  • Implements change in the transactional activities of the Project-to-Invoice processes (project set-up, project updates, invoicing and project closing activities).
  • Line manager of the full time Project Administrators and support the part time business support personnel with best practices and training incl governance.
  • Collaborates with BA Centre governance to improve the relevant steps in the global Project-to-Invoice process.
  • Uses relevant KPIs to monitor progress and effectiveness in handling the transactional tasks including fast turnaround of WIP into a quality invoice.
  • Effectively control and reduce credit memo, improve billing quality, and accelerate cashflow.
  • Eagerness to implements and follows standardized global processes while complying with local regulations.
  • Quality assure the relevant steps in the processes in alignment with global governance.
  • Strong affinity to use automation to further improve the process.
  • Implements and clearly communicate relevant interfaces to stakeholders (e.g. PMs, Project Controllers, Business Controllers and GSS) supporting the effective handling of the teams work list.
  • Stimulates a high performing culture, sets direction, is output driven and act as a role model for an inspiring employee experience.
  • Uses global tools and methods and willingness to collaborate with the BA Center to improve these.
  • Actively involved in resolving issues with PMs, Business controllers and GSS teams.
  • Reviews and provides guidance on project setup and administration including complicated projects (multi-tier).

About you

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent like e.g. Diploma
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • System knowledge within financial applications incl Production system & CRM
