About the role

Do you want to travel the world together with us and join us supporting our customers within the NDT field?

We are a team of NDT experts working within the oil and gas, renewables and maritime sector and we are searching for a new NDT expert. Our group is supporting all parts of DNV and customers worldwide, and you will work both independently as well as in team for our internal and external clients.

In this role you will work together with other disciplines and have direct impact of the quality and service delivered by DNV to our customers. We are seeking a person who combines strong practical experience and knowledge within all NDT methods, with a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to gaining new knowledge.

We believe that a successful person for the role objectively seeks facts and have the integrity to convey the findings to our external and internal stakeholders.

Typical tasks could be:

  • Advisory and support services
  • Document review and Approval of Service Suppliers
  • Field work including site tests and cross checking in all disciplines with a strong focus on UT (conventional and advanced)
  • Interpretation of standards and governing documents
  • Development and comments to DNV standards, rules and guidelines governing NDT

About you

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
  • Level II/III with practical experience in several or all the following NDT methods: PT, MT, UT, RT, VT & ET
  • Certified or familiar with PAUT and TOFD is an advantage
  • Knowledge and interest in NDT for composites is an advantage
  • Good in communications and building professional relationships
  • Good skills within all the MS Office applications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Norwegian skills are an advantage, but not required
  • Willing to do extensive travel internationally
