About the Role

The role is within the Renewables Advisory Department of Energy System Business Area and comprises the delivery of Project Development and Measurement Services to Advisory customers in South East Asia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (SeaJaKoTa).

You will join a diverse Renewables Advisory practice, which consists of more than 180 staff across the Asia‑Pacific region.

The role can be based in Manila.

This position is suitable for an experienced junior- to senior‑level consultant who can work independently, manage customer‑facing project delivery, and contribute to proposal development and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Experienced Junior Level

An Experienced Junior Consultant is expected to deliver defined technical workstreams independently, while building confidence in customer interaction and project ownership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver wind and/or solar resource assessments and energy yield analyses for assigned project components, under overall project direction
  • Perform technical analyses, data checks, and report drafting in line with DNV methodologies and quality standards
  • Support technical due diligence and Site Condition Assessment (SCA) activities through analysis, documentation, and review of assumptions and inputs
  • Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions, with support from senior colleagues
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, including technical descriptions, assumptions, and input to scope and effort estimates
  • Support project‑dependent scopes, where relevant, such as:
    • Interpretation of wind or solar measurement data (resource‑ or performance‑related), and/or
    • Supporting energy storage analysis or modelling tasks as part of broader advisory assignments
  • Collaborate effectively with regional and global teams and seek guidance where needed

- Senior Level

A Senior Consultant is expected to own project delivery, lead customer engagement, and contribute actively to business development and commercial growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and independently deliver wind and/or solar resource assessments, energy yield assessments, and advisory studies, from scoping through to final delivery
  • Take a leading role in technical due diligence and Site Condition Assessments, including risk identification, uncertainty framing, and bankability‑focused conclusions
  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers, managing client relationships, leading meetings, and clearly articulating and substantiating methodologies and results
  • Own end‑to‑end project management, including scope definition, scheduling, internal coordination, quality assurance, and delivery accountability
  • Lead or significantly contribute to proposal development, tenders, and pre‑sales discussions, including defining technical scope, pricing inputs, and value propositions
  • Provide advisory oversight on project‑dependent scopes, such as:
    • Measurement‑related topics (resource measurement, power performance or power curve–related interpretation), and/or
    • Energy storage analysis or modelling as part of integrated renewable energy advisory or due diligence engagements
  • Mentor junior colleagues and support capability development within the team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, and service offerings

About you

Education

  • Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in engineering, meteorology, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or another relevant discipline

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in wind and/or solar resource assessment and energy production (yield) assessment, gained through consulting, project development, advisory, or industry roles 
  • Ability to work independently on technical analyses and reporting, with responsibility appropriate to experience level 
  • Experience engaging directly with customers or project stakeholders, including explaining methodologies, assumptions, results, uncertainties, and risks in a clear and professional manner 
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy project development, including how resource and yield assessments support investment, financing, and decision‑making 
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience working with large environmental, meteorological, or operational datasets 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, suitable for technical reporting, client communication, and proposal development 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams, contributing to coordinated delivery across multiple geographies

Additional Experience (Advantageous)

  • Experience contributing to or leading technical due diligence and/or Site Condition Assessment (SCA) assignments for renewable energy projects, including risk identification, uncertainty framing, and bankability‑focused conclusions
  • Proven involvement in proposal preparation, tenders, or pre‑sales technical discussions, including defining technical scope, assumptions, exclusions, and input to pricing and effort estimates
  • Experience acting as a technical lead or workstream owner on consulting projects, with responsibility for quality, schedule, and coordination with internal contributors
  • Experience with or interest in measurement‑related topics, such as interpretation of wind or solar resource measurement data, advisory input to measurement campaigns, or analytical support related to power performance or power curve verification
  • Experience with or interest in energy storage analysis or modelling, including standalone storage or hybrid wind–solar–storage configurations, as part of broader renewable energy assessments or due diligence scopes
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, decision‑oriented messages suitable for senior customer stakeholders, including developers, investors, and lenders
  • Familiarity with lender or investor perspectives, including how technical risks, uncertainties, and sensitivities influence financing and investment decisions
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues, providing technical review, or supporting capability development within a consulting team
  • Familiarity with digital tools, scripting, or automation (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or similar) used to improve efficiency, consistency, or scalability of resource, yield, or risk analysis workflows
  • Experience working across multiple geographies or markets, coordinating inputs from cross‑regional or cross‑cultural teams

Industry Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry, particularly wind and solar project development, construction, and operations
  • Experience working with project developers, owners, or EPC contractors is beneficial

Physical Requirements

The role involves a normal office environment combined with occasional site visits or customer meetings, depending on project scope and needs.
