We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

About the role

Do you enjoy solving real-life problems and learning from industry leading experts? Do you want to work on projects that touch all aspects of the offshore industry?

Our Offshore Infrastructure department comprises of approximately 170 people dedicated to assurance services across varied sectors. We are organised into two sections: the Asset Assurance section, which focuses on providing verification services for in-service operations and the Project Assurance section (where this opportunity sits), which provides the technical advisory support and verification from the new building design phase up to offshore commissioning.

We are at the forefront of driving the global transition towards green energy, focusing primarily on the installation and operation of offshore structures. Our team delivers sophisticated solutions and engineering assessments to support renewable energy projects, particularly offshore wind farms, while also ensuring the safety of offshore operations for our oil and gas clients. We play a pivotal role in establishing standards and best practices for offshore geotechnical solutions across various industry bodies such as DNV, ISO, SNAME, and numerous Joint Industry Projects (JIPs).

Our Opportunity:

We are a diverse group of engineers within the Project Assurance section of our Offshore Infrastructure department, collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines such as structural, mechanical, metocean, naval architects and hydrodynamic engineers. Our projects can be located almost anywhere around the world from Alaska to New Zealand, providing genuine variety to the range of challenges you will encounter. Whilst our projects are global, this position is based at our Central London office. From here, you'll work closely with geotechnical colleagues throughout our organization, with opportunities to participate in exchange programs between different DNV offices worldwide.

Our structured Graduate Programme, provides a fantastic start to your career with us and supports your journey to become an expert in your chosen field. Upon joining, you’ll receive a buddy to help you settle in, a mentor to enhance your technical knowledge, as well as ongoing on-the-job coaching and support from your colleagues as you develop your technical, project management and customer interaction skills, as you work towards professional status or chartership.

During your first two years you will be developing real skills and knowledge within our Department, allowing you to spend time with different technical experts across multiple disciplines, building your network and gaining a broader understanding of both “what we do” and “what you enjoy doing”.

Additionally, you will be given a graduate development path that includes virtual and in person courses where you will have the opportunity to meet other graduates across the country, to improve soft skills such as communication, digital skills, chartership knowledge, and other career goals.
