About the role

The section Safety Risk Continental Europe portfolio covers, among others, consulting and trainings in the following service areas:

  • Full project life-cycle understanding of process safety / major accident hazards
  • Process Hazard Analysis and safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, FTA, ETA etc.)
  • Implementation and auditing of safety management systems
  • Risk Analysis towards Functional Safety (Layer of Protection Analysis, Safety Integrity Level)
  • Reliability and Availability analysis (FMECA & RAM)
  • Quantitative Risk Assessments
  • Incident investigation

Our client base includes the full project lifecycle from design via operations/maintenance towards decommissioning and the full energy value chain including renewables as well as traditional oil and gas companies

The scope of responsibilities of Process Hazard Analysis Leader consist of several interdisciplinary activities, technical challenges and good development opportunities for open and flexible engineers/consultants that like to work in a wide range of technical fields and have already deep understanding of one or more of our above mentioned service areas.

About you

We are searching for experienced candidates who are motivated, logical and solution-oriented. Client focused consultants who carry advisory in their DNA and can provide structure towards the challenges of our clients in their Energy Transition journey.

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Be an experienced leader of workshop-based qualitative and semi-quantitative risk assessments including but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, FME(C)As.
  • Be familiar with the interface towards Functional Safety (i.e., through Layer of Protection analysis and/or risk tree analysis); certifications in this field will be considered a plus.
  • Have a method-driven mindset, being able to apply different methodologies to tackle clients' challenges
  • Have an inclusive attitude, inviting other consultants into projects, sharing experience and developing colleagues.

Formal job requirements include:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Master degree, Ph.D. or similar)
  • Fluent English and Danish language skills, including technical terminology; Swedish will be considered a plus
  • Proven, min. 10 years of work experience in the field of safety & risk management or similar
  • High commitment to DNV's purpose, vision and values
  • Flexibility and readiness to take part in business travels and visiting clients, around 20% of work.
