About the role

DNV is seeking a Strategic Outreach Manager. The Strategic Outreach Manager is specializing in Vertical Markets and Named Accounts is a key player in driving targeted projects and outreach initiatives within specific industry verticals and designated key accounts. This role requires a strategic approach to identifying and engaging with high-value clients, understanding their unique needs, and positioning tailored solutions to drive mutual success. This position leverages industry knowledge, market insights, and relationship-building skills to establish the company as a trusted partner within targeted verticals and named accounts.

This role is based at our DNV office in Detroit, Michigan, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

  • Lead sales engagements with vertically focused accounts, building relationships and trust, fostering collaboration and driving customer engagement.
  • Promote Energy Efficiency solutions through direct and indirect channels to existing strategic customers in the region.
  • Build and grow a strong project pipeline and effective deal coverage of all sales opportunities across assigned region to exceed quota goals.
  • Manage complex sales-cycles, building strong effective business relationships, comfortable positioning the company to Mid-level and C-level executives.
  • Ability to convey the value proposition of the organization, by demonstrating case studies and market insights, in person and via web presentations.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the industry and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate data around opportunities, engagement activities and revenue projections in CRM.
  • Work with DNV leadership team to ensure outreach strategies and tactics achieve client goals through the successful engagement of local business segments.

About you

What is Required
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Strategic Sales position with significant professional experience developing customer relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Marketing, Management or related field
  • The knowledge and confidence with developing strategic account plans.
  • Experienced and comfortable with managing multiple, shifting priorities and deadlines during weekly task loads. Ability to negotiate changing priorities with the customer.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platform: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Experience in a consulting environment or longer sales cycles a plus.
  • Experience with social selling and business development skills through LinkedIn.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening.
