About the role

Help drive the growth of Food Belgium

Food is one of DNV’s strategic growth markets in Belgium. To realise our ambitions, we are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Business Leader Food Belgium.

In this role, you will be responsible for further strengthening our market position within the Belgian food industry. You will build long-term relationships with existing customers, develop new business and translate market developments into commercial opportunities.

You will maintain a strong market presence, understand the challenges faced by food companies and connect these needs with DNV’s certification, assurance, training and sustainability services.

This is not a people management role with direct reports. Instead, we are looking for someone who enjoys making a hands-on impact with customers, prospects and across the market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the commercial growth of the Food segment in Belgium.
  • Develop existing customer relationships and actively generate new business.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers in the food industry.
  • Identify, qualify and convert commercial opportunities into assignments.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute market and account plans.
  • Collaborate with auditors, trainers, consultants and international colleagues to provide customers with the best possible support.
  • Represent DNV during customer visits, networking events and industry activities.
  • Actively contribute to DNV’s continued growth in the Belgian food market.

What we offer

At DNV, you will have the opportunity to make an impact within an internationally renowned organisation with a strong reputation for quality, food safety, sustainability and assurance.

We offer:

  • A key role within a strategic growth market for DNV.
  • A high degree of autonomy and the freedom to demonstrate entrepreneurship.
  • A challenging commercial role with a direct impact on Food Belgium’s growth objectives.
  • Collaboration with expert colleagues in Belgium, the Netherlands and across DNV’s international network.
  • Extensive development and training opportunities.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options.
  • A competitive salary and attractive benefits package.
DNV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age or political opinion. Diversity is fundamental to our culture and we invite you to be part of this diversity.

About you

You are an entrepreneurial sales professional who recognizes opportunities and knows how to turn them into results. You are comfortable engaging with decision-makers and naturally build strong, long-term relationships.

In addition, you have:

  • Several years of commercial experience in the food industry, food safety, quality, certification or a comparable B2B environment.
  • A proven track record in business development and account management.
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent (fluent) communication skills for the Dutch and English language.
  • Knowledge of French language is a big advantage.
  • Willingness to visit customers throughout Belgium.
  • Location: Belgium (preferably the Antwerp region)

Are you ready to help shape the continued growth of Food Belgium? We look forward to receiving your application.

Transcript

Business Assurance is a unit of DNV where we are working with our customers towards verifying them if they are compliant with some particular rules. We are responsible for scheduling audits. We need to assign the right person with the right competences to conduct such an audit. And we are analysing and improving their processes. But sometimes we need to register some findings like observation, opportunity for improvement, or even non-conformities. I verify our clients' system management by observing them, how they work, how they produce. It's very interesting because we are delivering some additional information for our customers, what they cannot see or discover in their own systems. My work life as an auditor is completely different than employees who are working from the office every day. Because usually I'm travelling to our customers that are located in a different part of our country. Almost every week I work with different people in different companies. So if you like travel, if you are well organized, DNV can be for you.
