Overview

About us

We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management. Driven by our purpose, to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence.

As a trusted voice for many of the world’s most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.

About the role

DNV Accelerator

We rapidly nurture successful businesses and services that will shape the future of assurance. The Accelerator operates a portfolio of units undergoing significant growth, chiefly through acquisitions and partnerships. The Accelerator acts as a greenhouse for a strategically selected portfolio of businesses, each of which serves different industries and markets. The portfolio benefits from dedicated support to rapidly grow through organic means, as well as through acquisitions and partnerships. Three business units were housed in the Accelerator in 2026: Cyber Security, Digital Health, and Functional Safety.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our team works on analysis and training related to the cybersecurity of small electronic devices, and we are looking for colleagues who possess deep knowledge of the physical structure of such devices. Compared to network security, this field lacks educational opportunities, and we see it as our mission to share the expertise we have acquired with the outside world.

AI is having a dramatic impact on cybersecurity as a whole, rapidly automating vulnerability discovery and mitigation. Under these circumstances, we allocate our resources to the interface between the physical and digital domains—an area where automation is more difficult. Our aim is to become a key player not only in Japan but globally within this specialized field.

Your expected responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing small electronic devices and uncovering their security mechanisms
  • Identifying and validating vulnerabilities within these mechanisms
  • Automating analysis tasks and applying them across a wide range of devices
  • Presenting analysis and validation results in the form of demonstrations

Additionally, to broaden your expertise, you may be involved in:

  • Security assessments and reviews in the fields of electronics, automotive, and space
  • Security consulting for electronics, automotive, and space-related domains

After a suitable period of familiarization with relevant projects, you will be expected to interact directly with customers.

What we offer

  • Flexible work arrangements for better work-life balance
  • Generous paid leaves (Annual leaves, Sick leaves)
  • Medical benefits (Standard medical check-up, Maternity Health Care)
  • Pension and Insurance Policies (Group Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Welfare insurance, Unemployment insurance, Accident Insurance)
  • Training and Development Assistance (Training Sponsorship, On-The-Job Training, Training Programme)
  • Additional Benefits (Long Service Awards, Mobile Phone Reimbursement, Car Allowance, Commuting Allowance, Professional Membership Fees, Congratulation and Condolence allowance)

*Benefits may vary based on position, tenure/contract/grade level*
