About The Accelerator
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety and Risk Management Consultant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that safety-critical systems comply with industry safety standards and regulations, analyzing and mitigating risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute functional safety activities in compliance with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, standards, and Offshore Norge 070 guidelines.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into the design and development process.
- Perform safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on functional safety-related matters.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to ensure alignment on safety objectives and requirements.

About you
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in functional safety engineering, with a strong understanding of IEC 61508, IEC 61511 standards, and Offshore Norge 070 guidelines.
- Proficiency in conducting FMEA and FTA.
- Fluency in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Preferably, knowledge of PCB design.
