About The Accelerator

Three business units were housed in the Accelerator in 2022: Cyber Security, Digital Health, and Inspection.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety and Risk Management Consultant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that safety-critical systems comply with industry safety standards and regulations, analyzing and mitigating risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute functional safety activities in compliance with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, standards, and Offshore Norge 070 guidelines.
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into the design and development process.
  • Perform safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on functional safety-related matters.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to ensure alignment on safety objectives and requirements.

About you

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in functional safety engineering, with a strong understanding of IEC 61508, IEC 61511 standards, and Offshore Norge 070 guidelines.
  • Proficiency in conducting FMEA and FTA.
  • Fluency in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Preferably, knowledge of PCB design.
