About the role

DNV Cyber is a leading cybersecurity services provider, formed by merging Nixu, Applied Risk and DNV in 2024. We use our expertise and scale to tackle the most difficult cyber issues in multiple industries that are critical to society.

We are looking for a Senior Security Consultant to join our Security Operations team and take ownership of SOC service deliveries for assigned customers.

In this customer-facing role, you will lead security operations services for assigned customers, acting as their trusted advisor and primary delivery lead. You will work closely with SOC specialists, detection engineers, architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure that our services deliver measurable security outcomes.

Beyond service delivery, you will also contribute to business growth by supporting customer proposals, solution design, and bid responses. This role suits someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer interaction, and commercial thinking.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead SOC/MDR service deliveries for assigned customers, ensuring service quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers on operational and tactical security operations matters.
  • Advise customers on threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, and security posture improvements.
  • Coordinate security operations activities across SOC analysts, detection engineers, DFIR specialists, and other service teams.
  • Drive service reviews, reporting, action tracking, and improvement initiatives with customers.
  • Support customer onboarding, service transitions, and operational changes.
  • Contribute to solution design, proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and customer presentations.
  • Translate customer requirements into practical security service solutions and operating models.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and support long-term account growth.

About you

You’re a seasoned cybersecurity professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience in cyber security services or consulting, ready to deliver impact through customer-focused solutions.

You bring

  • Several years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, managed services, service delivery, or a related role.
  • Good understanding of security operations and incident management.
  • Experience leading customer-facing deliveries and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commercial awareness and experience contributing to customer proposals, service design, or pre-sales activities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and service improvement.
  • Fluent Finnish and English communication skills (written and spoken).

You will stand out if you also have

  • Experience working in an managed detection & response (MDR), SOC, or managed security services provider (MSSP) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with XDR, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or related security technologies.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Cortex, Splunk, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with threat detection, threat hunting, threat intelligence, incident response, detection engineering, or exposure/vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with cloud security.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications or vendor training.
  • Hands-on experience of leveraging artificial intelligence in your work.

Please note: A SUPO (Finnish Security and Intelligence Service) security background check will be part of the recruitment process.
