Karin, an engineer at Emergency Response Service. While she primarily works in an office, she appreciates the opportunity to occasionally visit shipyards, where she can witness firsthand how operations function in practice.

Hi I'm Karin, and I work as an engineer in emergency response service. I work as a stability experts and work with the for example Napa models of of our ships.
I started as a technical trainee and on one of my rotation I worked in France at a newb building Shipyard. And I have later even though I'm actually working in ERS been allowed and asked to come back to the the shipyard and to help out in very busy periods.
And to be able to work as a new building surveyor for me this has been a great experience as I'm normally sitting in the office so it's very good to be out and see how it's actually working in in practice. And I'm very happy that DNV both support and and push for me to have these opportunities.
