Joshua - Hazard Awareness Site Operative

My name is Joshua herd and my job role at Spadeadam is a hazard awareness technician. We offer a unique range of world leading Hazard awareness courses. We have many different clients from all over the globe that come to Spadeadam to witness major accident hazards displayed in a controll test environment. I've done a vast amount of trend since I've been here. A lot of plant orientated things. I've recently just completed a higher National Certificate in General Engineering. From a personal level, I'm very very grateful for to have had the opportunity. I believe it's given me a better insight into engineering problems. It's giv me better knowledge of the working environment and the things around me but on a personal level I was maybe lacking a little bit in self-confidence. My peers and people around me and people on Spadeadam said you know, believe in yourself you can do it. Two years later we're here. I've achieved it. I've loved every minute of it and I'm forever grateful to the people at DNV have helped me and pushed me through the process. The work life balance here is fantastic. I think we work really really flexible hours here to contribute towards fitness membership. It's good for my physical and my mental well-being and I think that makes me all around a better individual. I'm at the heart of it because alongside my peers here at DNV Spadeadam, I'm committed to safeguarding life property and the environment and also committed to a more sustainable greener future for the planet. The most exciting part of my job is working around live jet fires and gas explosions and diesel pool fires. The nature of the work interests me and but I think the fundamental is the people here and the culture. There's a real nice feel about about our working environment really proud to be a part of the Spadeadam family, really proud to be a part of the wider DNV family and looking forward to the future [Music]
