The Story
Driving Digital Transformation at DNV
“Learning new things and improving how things work gives me energy.”
I joined DNV back in 2007, straight out of university with a finance degree. What started as a temporary position in payroll quickly evolved into a journey of continuous growth. After a couple of years, I moved into a team lead role for Travel Expenses and eventually became the Finance Manager for Group Research and Innovation. These roles gave me valuable insights into how our organization operates and pushed me to take on even bigger challenges.
One of the most impactful experiences in my career was joining Group Internal Audit. It was an incredible learning opportunity, allowing me to gain a broad perspective on the various challenges DNV faces globally. This international role took me all over the world, and the travel wasn’t just exciting—it was eye-opening. I acquired analytical skills that sharpened my critical thinking and helped me grow professionally.
Today, I’m based in Pune, India, leading the Digitalization and Development team as part of our Global Shared Services. I’ve taken on the role of project manager for one of the global initiatives within our GSS Excellence Program, where we’re working to streamline and innovate processes.
Collaboration and Continuous Learning
I’ve always enjoyed understanding problems and finding ways to improve things. It’s why I’ve thrived at DNV, where we’re encouraged to challenge the status quo. The trust placed in employees here really fuels innovation. Outside of work, I love spending my time volunteering as an English teacher at a local public school in Pune. I’m a bit of a geek at heart, so when I’m not working or volunteering, I’m often tinkering with my computer, playing board games, or exploring new technology.
Advice for Future Colleagues
After nearly two decades at DNV, I don’t have a set career path in mind. I believe the key to a fulfilling career is staying open to opportunities and exploring your strengths and passions. At DNV, you’re given the space and support to do just that. My advice is simple: stay curious, be willing to challenge yourself, and take advantage of the learning and growth opportunities that come your way.
