Anupma - Full Stack Developer

What do you do at Veracity?

As a Full Stack Developer, I am frequently working with the team on software development, and both the front-end and back-end components of applications and databases. We’re constantly trying to formulate solutions to add value to data and improve the user experience through our database solutions, server configuration and user interfaces.
 

Why did you decide to join Veracity?

The Veracity opportunity really aligned with my aspirations, particularly since I have always wanted to work with Maritime. Veracity plays a big role in the digital transformation for many areas in the industry, so it was a no-brainer for me to be part of this exciting shift! I also heard from a few friends who were already working at DNV and Veracity; they seemed to really enjoy their jobs and could vouch for the company culture!
 

What do you like most about working at Veracity?

Apart from my job, the first thing that comes to mind is beautiful location of the office that overlooks the Oslo fjord and is surrounded by greenery.I wake up each day and find myself looking forward to going to work. I also have great colleagues whom I really enjoy the company of; we often get together after work or join the fun activities available with DNV.
 

What are you currently working on?

I am currently part of the team that is developing our data workbench. The main objective of this project is to release siloed data and develop data processing tools that allow for secure sharing and easy analysis.

Likewise, I have also recently joined the Green Belt Training Program to boost my cyber security proficiency. It’s a 12-week course of workshops and modules designed to help us understand and apply security requirements, standards and best practice to systems and operations. I think it’s great that Veracity offers these upskilling opportunities!
 

What do your out-of-office hours look like? 

I thoroughly enjoy cooking and exploring different cuisines, but when I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me outdoors enjoying Norway’s natural beauty.This year I have also made it my goal to learn Norwegian and become a confident swimmer.
 

One thing your colleagues don’t know about you:

I’m a huge fan of Bollywood songs, but a terrible singer. I also love a good horror film!
